Quadratic Formula, discriminants and other exciting stuff!

The complete solutions for Ex 3.2 have now been posted on the Maths Methods Wiki – enjoy!

Also, now is the time for you to consider how you are going to apply the personal goals that you set following the discussions we had based on the results of your first two assessment tasks. These goals will help you lift your results by making your methods of learning more efficient and effective, so don’t miss the point by just forgetting about it!

Now I do not know who first said this, but it applies here: “If you always do what you have always done then you will always get what you always got!” Work on those goals people!

  1. That’s great Cassie! I think you are going to go from strength to strength Cassie the way you are working. 🙂 Good on you!

Late this year I will be presenting at the Mathematics Association of Victoria Annual Conference. This year I thought I might present on blogs and Wikis as a way for maths teachers and students to work, but I was thinking about having some students come with me and present to teachers with me. How would you feel about doing that? See http://www.mav.vic.edu.au/pd/confs/index.html for some information. It is held at Latrobe University on Dec 4 and 5 (it would be one of those days – note that it is just after school ends). What do you think?
