Some of you have told me that you cannot use the Smartboard software (won’t load or crashes) on your home computers. I am not sure why this would be the case as students have been successfully using this for the last three years now. In any case, I have converted all the Chapter 4 files into Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files so that they are now available in both formats. Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed for you to open these files.* I will progressively convert the other files that have already been uploaded to the Wiki.
If you do not want to access these files through the Wiki then bring your USB drive to school and I will transfer them in class. Except if you do not have a computer at home, there is no reason why any student would be unable to access this resource. It is there so that you can get assistance when you are at home and stuck on a problem.
Let me know if you need further clarification or assistance. Be proactive – don’t just sit in silence if something is not working for you. You too have a responsibility to make sure you TAKE every learning opportunity that is offered to you.
*The program is readily available on the Internet and has been commonly used globally for many years now. You probably have this program already installed. If not search for Adobe Acrobat Reader and you will easily find the site from which you can download and install it. (Something I found on the site was that it offered to install additional software. I ended up with a nag screen about updating security software. It was harmless but annoying, so I suggest you ONLY install Acrobat Reader and nothing else that is offered.)
